INSPIRE is an NIH-funded trial investigating the benefits of a caregiver-assisted telephone-based coping skills training program in people with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

This study aims to help people with COPD and their caregivers cope with symptoms, enhance quality of life, and improve physical functioning.

If you qualify to participate you may receive:

  • Skills to help you cope better with symptoms, to increase your physical activity, and to reduce any emotional distress.
  • A better understanding of COPD and its treatment.
  • $100 compensation for your time and travel.
