The purpose of this study is to assess the loss of S-nitrosothiols, natural occurring airway dilators in the lung in asthma.

By evaluating the function of these proteins in airway fluid and lung cells, we will gain further understanding of asthma and hopefully be able to find new treatments for asthma.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, participants must:

  • Be 18 to 65 years old
  • Have an asthma diagnosis
  • Be a non-smoker

Study Requirements

Your study involvement will last approximately one week and you will be contacted for three days for follow-up.

Compensation

You will be reimbursed up to $225 for your expenses related to your participation (parking, gas, and time).
