The purpose of the study is to continue evaluation and monitoring of the safety and effectiveness of a new device to repair the mitral valve. The device is called the MitraClip System.

Eligibility Requirements

Participants must:

  • Have been diagnosed with grade three (moderate to severe) or grade four (severe) mitral regurgitation (MR)
  • Be symptomatic
  • Be seeking treatment for their condition
  • Be a candidate for mitral valve surgery
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have appropriate valve anatomy

Study Requirements

Participants must:

  • Have a medical history review
  • Have physical exams
  • Have a blood test
  • Have a transesophageal echocardiogram
  • Be available for up to five years of clinical follow-ups.

Compensation

You may be compensated for some travel expenses.
