The goal of this study is to compare emotional processing in women with anorexia nervosa to the emotional processing in a set of patients with no history of an eating disorder.

Eligibility Requirements

We are recruiting women between the ages of 18 and 40 with a current or past diagnosis of anorexia nervosa as well as women who have no history of an eating disorder.

Study Requirements

In this study, we ask participants to observe and rate pictures containing emotional content on a computer screen while we measure facial muscle activity using sticky, non-invasive, surface electrodes. One 90-minute visit is required.

Free parking will be provided if needed. No drugs will be administered.

Compensation is $10 per hour.
