The purpose of this research study is to evaluate the safety of an investigational drug and to see if the drug can improve attention, memory, and the performance of daily living skills in adults with Down syndrome.

As a qualified participant, subjects will receive all study-related procedures and study drug at no cost.

Duration

The study will take place over a four to five month period. Participants attend nine outpatient visits to Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC, with
their primary caregivers.

Study Details

During the study, medical and psychological testing is completed. Some of the visits may require an overnight stay in a local hotel. Travel costs will be reimbursed and subjects or caregivers will receive $150 for each visit for compensation of meals and time.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, the subject must be:

  • Between 18 and 30 years of age
  • Diagnosed with Down syndrome
