The purpose of this research study is to compare two treatments of moderate persistent asthma in obese adults, ages 18 to 65 years old.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify, participants must be:

  • 18 to 65 years old
  • Asthmatic, with symptoms more than twice a week
  • Overweight
  • A non-smoker
  • Currently taking inhaled steroids

Study Requirements

This is a 42-week study which requires eight visits.

Compensation

Subjects are reimbursed up to $540 for expenses related to participation.
