Healthy volunteers are needed to participate in a research study that will assess the safety, tolerability, and beneficial effects of a study drug combination being tested for possible use in high altitude sickness. Eligible participants will be healthy men and women, 18 to 50 years of age, who weigh at least 143 pounds, take no medications, and are non-smokers.
Participation will require a total of five outpatient visits and the ability to cycle continuously for 60 minutes. Eligible volunteers will be in good physical shape and able to exert themselves on a cycle ergometer during the screening visit when a VO2 Max fitness test is performed.
The study requires no overnight visits and two of the visits will take place inside a hypobaric chamber that simulates the conditions found at high altitudes.
Enrolled participants will be compensated for their time.
