Study Goals: To determine the efficacy of an investigational new medication, lesinurad, when used in combination with allopurinol compared to using allopurinol alone.

Age Range: 18-85, inclusive

Number of visits: 17 outpatient visits

Duration: 12 months

Compensation: $50 for each visit, allopurinol and lesinurad/placebo provided free of charge

Drugs/Placebo: Each participant will receive allopurinol (open-label) along with lesinurad or placebo
