Summary: Patients with sickle cell disease are needed for a research study assessing the effect of propranolol on red blood cells.

Eligibility: You may qualify if you have Hemoglobin SS or SB0 thalassemia and are age 18 or older.

Study Requirements: Study participants will be asked to take propranolol/placebo and to participate in a screening visit and seven (7) study visits. This study will last approximately 16 weeks.

Compensation: Participants will be compensated up to $260.
