Attention Sleep Apnea Patients

You may qualify for a clinical research study being conducted by the Duke Sleep Disorders Center if you:

  • Are currently using continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) treatment on a nightly basis
  • Have excessive daytime sleepiness
  • Sleep less than six hours several nights a week
  • Are between 18 and 64 years of age
  • Are in good general health

Physicians in the Sleep Disorders Center are studying the safety and effectiveness of a wakefulness-promoting medication for the treatment of excessive daytime sleepiness in patients who are sleepy despite their regular treatment with CPAP.

Compensation

If you qualify for the study, all study medication, exams, and procedures associated with the study will be provided at no cost to you, and you will be compensated for your time and travel.
