Acute Treatment in Late-life Mania

Psychiatrists at Duke University Medical Center are currently conducting a treatment study for persons who have bipolar disorder (previously known as manic depression).

Participants must be:

  • 60 years of age or older
  • experiencing manic (high) symptoms

This nine-week treatment study involves safety measures, study medication, and psychiatric assessments.

Participants will be compensated up to $240 for their time and effort over 12 study visits.
