Aging, Brain, and Cognition

Healthy volunteers between the ages of 60 and 85 years old are needed to participate in studies of cognitive and brain functioning using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and/or behavioral tests.

There are no x-rays, radiation, or medications involved.

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a native English speaker with at least a high-school diploma
  • Have no history of or be taking any medications for:
    • Psychiatric disorders or diseases (e.g. depression, anxiety, mood disorders)
    • Neurological disorders or diseases (e.g. stroke, head injury, epilepsy, seizures, brain tumor, brain surgery, Parkinson disease)
  • Have no pacemaker, metal implants, prosthetics, pins, plates, or ever had metal fragments enter the eyes (Dental work is allowed)

Compensation will be $10-$20 per hour for a total of approximately two to four hours per session. We provide free parking and will compensate for travel.
