A variety of recreational resources are available to assist you in filling your free time and helping to make the hospital stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

These resources include: DVDs, audio books, digital recorders, laptops, CDs, relaxation and guided imagery resources, CD and DVD players, humor books, game and puzzle books, cards, board games, jigsaw puzzles, and sports equipment.

Arts and Crafts

Arts and crafts can provide an opportunity to explore and show your creativity and to try your hand at a new or former interest.

Involvement in an art or craft project can help to fill free or leisure time and serve as a meaningful outlet for emotions.

Several arts and crafts opportunities are available in our program. These include:

  • Painting
  • Woodworking
  • Tiling
  • Latch hook
  • Needlework (cross-stitch, knitting, needlepoint, crocheting)
  • Scrapbooking

Weekly groups and private sessions are offered to encourage you to take this time to learn or re-learn a favorite hobby.

For More Information

To receive inpatient recreational resources, request Oncology Recreation Therapy services upon admission.
