The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program (DCPSP) Advisory Board is an essential component of our team.

Members of the advisory board work closely with the program director and members of our staff to further the mission of the program and enhance our services.

DCPSP board members are charged with working to increase community awareness about, and raising funds to support, the program and its services, and assisting the DCPSP staff in short- and long-range planning for program development. 

Our board members are deeply committed to supporting and advancing the psychosocial care of those patients and families whose lives have been touched by cancer. Members of the advisory board serve as ambassadors for the DCPSP and as liaisons between DCPSP and their home communities.

Members are enthusiastic in their support of the DCPSP, of one another, and of the work of the program and board. Members strive for an informative, interactive, inspired, and involved experience.

The success of the program has been dependent on the contributions of our advisory board members.
