Targeted therapy involves using medications that kill cancer cells or stops them from growing without harming normal cells.

The drugs used in targeted therapies pinpoint the changes in genes that lead to cancer. By interfering in how tumors grow, the drugs can help prevent cancers from spreading or cause cell death.

Cancer Types

Cancers treated with targeted therapy include:

  • Colorectal cancer
  • Kidney cancer
  • Liver cancer
  • Lung cancer
  • Ovarian cancer
  • Stomach cancer
