Gynecologic cancers are malignant (cancerous) tumors that occur when abnormal cells form and multiply in the female reproductive organs, including the cervix, the uterus, the ovaries, the vagina, or the vulva. Learn more about gynecologic cancers.

The gynecologic oncology program at the Duke Cancer Institute is one of the most comprehensive cancer treatment, research, and training programs of its kind in the country

Programs

Gynecologic cancers are divided into types according to the organ in which they form. Each of the different types has different risk factors, symptoms, and treatments. The Duke Gynecologic Oncology Program treats:
