It has been only six months since my brain tumor was discovered and removed, but I feel great. I’m actually a little nervous that I feel so great. I think, “Should anyone be this happy after having part of his brain removed?”
Charlene Midgette
My mother was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 1991, but thankfully that tumor was benign, and was removed with surgery. In 2005, she was diagnosed with another brain tumor. At the age of 75, I was reluctant to let them operate on her brain again.
Charles Tabor
I was diagnosed with a glioblastoma multiforme grade IV, malignant brain tumor in February of 2005. I had my first appointment at Duke in March 2005, and that's when I met my hero, Dr. James Vredenburgh.
