Speech Pathology

Duke’s Speech Pathology Clinic provides comprehensive services to persons of all ages, from newborn to adult, using state-of-the-art instrumentation and techniques. Speech pathologists specialize in evaluating and treating speech, language, fluency, and swallowing disorders.

Our Speech/Swallowing Science Clinic features technologically advanced instruments used by clinicians at leading medical centers. These allow viewing of laryngeal anatomy and vocal fold physiology, assist in conducting speech analysis and biofeedback, and aid in dysphagia assessment and treatment.

The clinic also has an AAC/AT Laboratory that includes a wide array of leading-edge augmentative and alternative communication devices and other assorted assistive technologies for evaluating and managing communication disorders.
