Providing personal pastoral care to those with HIV/AIDS

R U In the kNOw?

R U In the kNOw?, formerly Resistance Against Pressure (RAP), is a community-based program working through local churches in the North Carolina counties of New Hanover, Brunswick, Pender, Bladen, and Onslow that is committed to educating and training youth to become more active participants in their life choices, rights, and goals.

The program’s objectives are to provide information to teens about HIV and other STDs, abstinence, peer pressure, teen pregnancy, substance abuse, and other issues.

Partners In Caring received a grant from the Duke Endowment and the Cape Fear Memorial Foundation in December 2008 to initiate a full-scale R U In the kNOw? program.

The R U In the kNOw? program is based out of Wilmington, NC, serving churches and other interested organizations in the five-county area.
