Positive Connections is a peer-directed program that teaches
people living with HIV/AIDS about substance abuse and HIV
prevention.
Participants learn ways to protect against HIV/AIDS, HEPC,
and other STDs; information about HIV itself; how to avoid
substance abuse; and harm reduction and safer sex
techniques.
After initial training is completed, participants may
continue in a support group or have a peer educator visit
them.
