PIC’s goal is to relieve social and spiritual isolation among families touched by HIV/AIDS and substance abuse, their communities, and social and religious organizations throughout the Carolinas. PIC has worked with more than 500 churches in the Carolinas to promote understanding about serving PLWHA and to eliminate the stigma and discrimination associated with HIV and substance abuse.
As PIC continues the journey of finding ways to care for people living with HIV/AIDS and addictions, we invite you to join us by checking out our menu of programs.
The mission of Partners In Caring is to find ways to care for, educate, and befriend people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) and others by offering innovative training, programming, and services to lessen the prevalence of HIV and substance abuse.
Partners In Caring fosters learning and training excellence by working with faith-based, community-based, and other interested organizations to create a safe, fulfilling, and enriching environment to improve the mind, body, and spirit of those who are served.
Academic year and summer internship opportunities are available to undergraduate and graduate students who are interested in doing HIV/AIDS-related work.
Partners In Caring has provided internships to numerous students in the past decade, including Duke Divinity School students, Furman University students, UNC-Greensboro students, Davidson College students, and Duke University undergraduate students.
