Terry Williams is sonographer with years of experience in the ultrasound evaluation of veins. She is currently the technical director of the Vascular Laboratory in Duke’s Department of Surgery. Terry has specialized exclusively in venous ultrasound since 1996. Terry received her Associate of Applied Science/Radiology Technology degree from Shawnee State University in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1982. Terry is also registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography. Terry’s initial ultrasonography experience was in the complicated specialty of high risk pregnancy evaluation. In 1996, she turned her interest to venous disease. She has taught clinical ultrasound throughout her career and since joining the Duke Vein Team in early 2006, Terry has been involved in the ultrasound training of Duke’s vascular surgery fellows.
