Duke Stroke Center received Primary Stroke Center accreditation from The Joint Commission (TJC) in March of 2005. This accreditation is an outward demonstration of the excellent care provided to every stroke patient at Duke Hospital.
As part of the certification, the Stroke Center provides TJC with a quarterly report of outcome data and undergoes a recertification visit every two years to validate its consistent excellence.
