Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE)

Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation throughout the body, and can affect the skin, the musculoskeletal system, and major organ systems.

As many as two million Americans are believed to suffer from various forms of lupus, and the disease primarily affects women.

The Rheumatology and Immunology team collaborates with the appropriate clinicians from other disciplines to deliver experience, expertise, and compassion to the diagnosis and management of this potentially debilitating condition.
