Interstitial lung diseases (ILDs) are a group of non-cancerous disorders characterized by widespread inflammation and scarring of the lung. Patients typically experience coughing and shortness of breath.
A recognized leader in the care of ILD patients, Duke’s Interstitial Lung Disease Program sees hundreds of newly referred patients every year.
Our Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine specialists comprehensively evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients suffering from ILDs that include:
- Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF)
- Sarcoidosis
- Pulmonary vasculitis
- Hypersensitivity pneumonitis
