Repairing Seriously Damaged Bones and Joints

Traumatic injury is the nation’s fifth leading cause of death and a leading cause of long-term disability.

Duke’s orthopaedic trauma program offers a comprehensive approach to repairing serious damage to the bones and joints.

In addition to orthopaedic surgeons with a wide range of expertise, our staff includes two orthopaedic traumatologists -- orthopaedic surgeons who specialize in the management of complex fractures.

Orthopaedic trauma patients at Duke have access to:

  • Highly trained surgeons
  • State-of-the-art equipment and facilities
  • Coordinated care that encompasses Duke’s many specialties

Dedicated to a Full Recovery

We strive to exceed the expectations of all our patients. For the orthopaedics team, there is no greater satisfaction than to hear how we’ve helped someone overcome an ordeal that is extremely stressful and difficult.
