Pets at Duke

Pets play an important role in many people’s lives and are often considered members of the family. Pets can offer companionship, affection, topics for conversation, and opportunities for reminiscing.

Because of these many benefits, we offer an animal-assisted therapy program called Pets at Duke (PAD).

Participating dogs are "therapy-certified", have completed animal-assisted therapy training sessions, and are accompanied by their owners.
