Biologic Hazards and Exposure Evaluations

Duke offers consultations for a wide array of occupational or environmental biological hazards, exposure assessment regarding environmental or occupational settings, and epidemiology consultation for environmental or occupational health.

Occupational or environmental biological hazards services include assessment of both indoor air quality and occupational hazards in health care settings.

Duke also offers exposure assessment services, which include industrial hygiene evaluations for many potential hazards such as:

  • Noise
  • Asbestos
  • Heavy metals
  • Organic solvents
  • Indoor air pollution

Epidemiologic Consultation for Environmental or Occupational Health

In addition, Duke provides statistical or group assessments for health effects in clusters of patients exposed to environmental or occupational health hazards.
