Duke internal medicine physicians provide preventive, chronic, and acute care to their patients.

Preventive care includes annual exams and well visits for flu shots or other vaccinations. Regular screenings -- such as Pap smears, prostate exams, and other diagnostic tests -- help to safeguard your health and well-being.

Chronic care includes management of chronic illnesses and conditions, including hypertension, back pain, high cholesterol, asthma, and diabetes, which require long-term treatment.
