The mission of the clinical division of Duke General
Internal Medicine is to provide quality care for our patients
with a focus on patient satisfaction and innovative customer
service.
We also promote the education and development of faculty and
resident physicians through ongoing graduate and continuing
medical education.
Our physician faculty members are actively engaged within
the Duke University Health System. We have ongoing
relationships with Duke Hospital, Durham Regional Hospital,
Select Specialty Hospital, the Duke School of Medicine, Duke
Integrative Medicine, the Fuqua School of Business at
Duke, and the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy.
Our clinical practices focus on delivering excellent care to
all of our patients, and our physicians have received national
recognition as quality providers in managing diabetes and heart
disease by the National Committee for Quality Assurance
(NCQA).
As part of the division’s ongoing focus on measuring the
quality of care that we provide to our patients, we are
participating in the Duke Prospective Health
quality initiative, as well as the
Bridges to Excellence quality improvement project with Blue
Cross and Blue Shield of North Carolina.
