Faculty physicians in the clinical division of general internal medicine participate in clinical research trials as investigators in collaboration with the Duke Primary Care Research Consortium (PCRC) and the Duke Institute for Genome Sciences and Policy. Duke Primary Care practices participate as sites and investors in these clinical research trials.

We are currently serving as investigators in studies relating to diabetes, depression, cholesterol disorders, joint disorders/osteoarthritis,physician-patient communication, stress reduction, integrative (mind-body) medicine, and genetic testing.

Through these clinical trials, patients may gain access to exciting new treatments not available to the general population.
