Foundational Program

Our signature four-day immersion program provides dedicated time to focus on transforming the way you think about and manage your health long-term -- resulting in the highest potential for wellness.
Our clinicians and therapists work with you as a team, helping you explore your health through therapeutic and consultation services, workshops, and educational classes in areas such as movement and exercise, nutrition, relationships, personal development, and spirituality.
The Foundational Program includes:
- Pre-assessment by a registered nurse
- Concierge service throughout the Duke University Health System
- Integrative medicine consultation and examination
- Five therapeutic or consultation options of your choice
- Body fat assessment
- Daily workshops and experiential sessions
- Nutritious gourmet lunches and snacks
- Cooking for Health classes
- 30-minute session with your clinician to complete your health plan
- Telephone health coaching at one-, three-, and seven-month intervals to help you meet your health goals
Diagnostic Packages
We also integrate diagnostic and lab visits into your Foundational Program as needed to assist you in reaching your health goals, and offer convenient add-on diagnostic packages for our most common diagnostic services.
Our Women’s Health Package includes diagnostic services such as:
- Hormone level evaluation
- Thyroid level evaluation
- Bone density scanning via dual energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA)
- Mammogram
- Pelvic exam and Pap smear
- Urinalysis
Our Preventive Cardiac Package includes diagnostic services selected from the following:
- Multislice CT for coronary calcium scoring
- Screening for inflammatory markers such as homocysteine and C-reactive protein
- Pulmonary function tests
- Lipid panel screening
- Exercise stress test
- Electrocardiogram (EKG)
Personalized Health Plan
At the end of your visit, you will receive a personalized health plan designed to help you achieve your health goals. Your personal recommendations will be divided into nine key health and wellness areas.
