Moon leads the massage therapy program team at Duke Integrative Medicine. She is a North Carolina-licensed massage therapist and has been in practice for nine years. She draws from her experiences in private practice, providing healing to a diverse clientele, including individuals in need of stress management, undergoing cancer therapy, or coping with chronic conditions. Through her involvement at Duke Diet and Fitness Center, she has also worked extensively with people struggling with weight management.
As an integrative bodyworker, she skillfully blends techniques of Swedish and Myofascial massage, balancing energy as well as deep intuitive listening to create an individualized experience for each client. With her wide range of therapeutic massage techniques and her knowledge from 13 years of personal yoga practice, she can artfully create strategies to bring balanced living and harmony into her clients' lives.
Moon obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Delaware. She received her massage training in 1998 at the Body Therapy Institute (BTI), a holistic massage therapy school located in Siler City, North Carolina. She now serves as a faculty member at BTI. Additionally, she is a graduate of the Spirit of Learning, a massage educator training program and is a member of the Associated Massage and Bodywork Professionals.
