Established in 1931, Duke’s Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology offers comprehensive counseling, evaluation, and management of a full range of gynecological and obstetrical concerns.

Duke’s expert multidisciplinary team includes obstetricians, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, gynecologists, endocrinologists, oncologists, nurse practitioners, nurse educators, dieticians, genetic counselors, physical therapists, and lactation consultants.

We see more than 85,000 specialty and subspecialty outpatients annually, and administer inpatient services at the Duke Birthing Center, the Duke University Hospital inpatient and outpatient units and surgical centers, and the Durham Regional Hospital Minimally Invasive Surgical Center.
