Personalized care for colon, stomach, and other gastrointestinal cancers

The Duke Gastrointestinal Cancers Program includes several multidisciplinary clinics that provide specialty care for patients battling cancers of the stomach, pancreas, liver, biliary system, small intestine, colon, and rectum.

Patients play an integral role in creating the treatment plan and deciding which options feel right for them and their families. Our integrated team approach gives each patient access to all the information needed to make informed, knowledgeable decisions.

Our team of experienced cancer specialists includes gastrointestinal surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gastroenterologists, radiologists, pathologists, and transplant specialists.

All meet weekly to discuss each patient’s case, drawing upon decades of training and experience treating complex and unusual cases as they evaluate the benefits and drawbacks of various diagnostic and treatment regimens and map the most effective course of treatment for each individual.
