Duke offers multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art care for patients with small intestine and appendix disorders, including appendicitis.

Inflammatory Bowel Disease

We see a large number of patients with inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Patients receive clinical consultation, management, and treatment in Duke’s infusion center, as well as endoscopic evaluation and surveillance by experienced faculty recognized for their expertise in this field.

For patients with complicated inflammatory bowel disease, Duke offers a multidisciplinary approach, with physicians from gastroenterology working closely with expert colleagues from Duke Colorectal Surgery, Radiology, and Pathology.

Ulcerative colitis
