Assisted reproduction technologies,
general infertility, uterine fibroids, polycystic ovary
syndrome, robotic-assisted and advanced laparoscopic surgery,
reproductive tract abnormalities, endometriosis, recurrent
pregnancy loss, and preimplantation genetic diagnosis.
Research Interests:
Dr. Behera is involved in both
clinical and basic science research. The basic science
investigations primarily focus on molecular biology of uterine
fibroids and implications on fertility and implantation.
Her clinical research interests range from conservative
treatment options for women uterine fibroids, including
MRI-guided focused ultrasound, to the optimal management of
polycystic ovarian syndrome, determination of sperm
fertilization potential in assisted reproductive technologies
and psychological factors involved in fertility treatment and
multiple pregnancies. Dr. Behera is also involved in
collaborative research efforts to develop fertility options for
women with cancer.
