Support for home: Stay in touch with the DFC

Contact with the Duke Diet & Fitness Center (DFC) does not end after you go home.

We will send you up-to-date information about our programs and health and wellness tips through our semi-annual newsletter and member mailings.

Weekly Group Calls

Each week we offer a free DFC alumni call where former program attendees and members of DFC coaching and other program staff gather to exchange information, provide support and encouragement, and share suggestions for staying on track at home. This group problem-solving/information session is an invaluable addition to your DFC experience.

Personal Lifestyle Coach

For those who prefer a more personalized and individualized coaching experience we offer the Personal Coaching Program. Get the coaching you need to overcome obstacles, problem solve and set realistic goals through the support and encouragement of your DFC personal lifestyle coach. The program includes regular telephone contact and e-mail support and free 13-week access to our online weight loss program DukeDiet.com.

DukeDiet.com

The DFC experience has expanded to offer an online weight loss program that is available both to program participants and those who are unable to attend the DFC. As an added benefit all DFC alumni are provided free access for four weeks (13 weeks for Personal Coaching participants) to DukeDiet.com. Learn more

There you are provided with up-to-date DFC content and tools to assist you in your weight loss efforts like food logs, exercise tracker, weight tracker, and a host of other helpful options. You can also get extra support from other online users on the DukeDiet.com interactive message boards.

Return Program

Our most successful participants agree that periodically returning to the DFC for “tune up” visits can serve not only to help them stay on track, but as a welcome break in their fast-paced lives. Learn more about our Return Program.
