If you would like to stay longer than the four-week program,
Duke Diet & Fitness Center offers extended stays on a
weekly basis for up to a total three-month stay.
This option is best suited for clients who:
- Have been severely challenged by excess weight, lack of
physical fitness and desire an extended, supervised weight
loss program;
- Wish to work through the emotional transitions associated
with weight loss;
- Or want to fully explore weight-related or other issues
in their lives
We provide a
supportive, caring environment to work on major life
changes.
Participants continue to attend the center's daily scheduled
activities for up to twelve weeks while maintaining close
contact with the professional staff. We do not often encourage
stays longer than 12 weeks, since it is more beneficial for
clients to practice the new skills at home. We consider such
requests on a case-by-case basis.
