John Bartlett Care Fund

Administered by the DART Center, the John Bartlett Care Fund is used to assist AIDS/HIV patients in need with expenses such as food, medications, housing, transportation, utility bills, and educational materials.

One hundred percent of all donations go directly towards patients' needs, and the funds are only utilized when the social workers cannot locate any other resources.

Since the fund was first set up in 1990, the DART Center has been able to help thousands of our patients from across the state with emergency needs, life-saving educational information, and safer sex materials.

DART’s patients are living healthier, longer lives. However, the unfortunate reality is that over 25 percent are completely uninsured, and 40 percent have either Medicaid or Medicare.

As DART has grown from 250 patients in the early 1990s to over 1,700 in 2007, the need for assistance in purchasing life-saving medications, housing, food, transportation, funeral services, and educational materials has increased. Please consider making a tax deductible donation!
