Single Ventricle Defect

Our single ventricle clinic specializes in the care of children who have congenital heart defects resulting in only one functional ventricle that require a three-surgery staged approach to their care.

These children are followed very closely between their first and second surgeries, with home weight and oxygen saturation monitoring performed daily by the parents between weekly visits.

Follow-up visits are spaced farther apart after the second surgery, but the clinic continues to serve as a resource for ongoing coordination of care for these high-risk patients.
