Tracy Berger, MS, LMFT

Tracy is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). She provides individual, couple, and family counseling to inpatients and outpatients. She facilitates the Family Member Support Group, the GI & Pancreatic Cancer Support Group, and the Breast & Gynecologic Cancer Support Group. Tracy co-facilitates the KidsCan! Support Group sessions. Tracy is also the coordinator of the Visiting Volunteer program.

Cheyenne Corbett, MS, LMFT, PhD Candidate

Cheyenne is the director of the Duke Cancer Patient Support Program. She is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with a specialization in medical family therapy. Her area of clinical expertise is the psychosocial care of patients diagnosed with cancer and their families. Her research involves learning about how cancer impacts families, and how stories can be a transformative part of the cancer experience.

DJ Pappas, MEd, LPC, NCC

DJ is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and a nationally certified counselor (NCC). She provides counseling to individuals, couples, and families and facilitates the Breast Cancer Support Group and Lung Cancer Support Group. DJ coordinates the Look Good….Feel Better® sessions in collaboration with the American Cancer Society. DJ also coordinates the DCPSP’s KidsCan! program.

Patrick Plumeri, MS, LMFT

Patrick is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). He provides individual, couple, and family counseling. Patrick facilitates the Leukemia, Lymphoma, and Multiple Myeloma Support Group and the Prostate Cancer Support Group. Patrick co-facilitates the KidsCan! Support Group sessions.

Interns

Ryan Anderson, MS, PhD Candidate

Ryan is a marriage and family therapy intern in the final months of his doctoral degree in medical family therapy. He is currently working in conjunction with all of the counselors to get as much exposure to working with the various types of cancer as possible. He provides individual, couple, and family therapy, and is also involved in designing and implementing research for the Cancer Patient Support Program.

Page Littlewood

Page is a marriage and family therapy intern completing her MS in marriage and family therapy. She is working primarily with DCPSP counselor Tracy Berger in supporting families coping with gastrointestinal or gynecologic cancer.

Karen Register

Karen is a marriage and family therapy intern completing her MS in marriage and family therapy. She is working primarily with DCPSP counselor Patrick Plumeri in the following clinical service areas: prostate cancer; head and neck cancer; and leukemia, lymphoma, and multiple myeloma.

Ben Weast

Ben is a counseling intern completing his MEd in counseling. He is working primarily with DCPSP counselor DJ Pappas in supporting families coping with breast or lung cancer.
