Rockus Bacchus 2007
Thank you to all our corporate sponsors and distinguished
guests for making Rockus Bacchus 2007 such a terrific
success!
The most exciting philanthropic event to hit the Triangle,
Rockus Bacchus, is a black tie event to benefit the Duke Cancer
Patient Support Program.
The 2001 inaugural event was conceived to honor the life of
Audrey Chase, one of the program's greatest friends and
supporters, who died of cancer in December, 1999. Audrey always
loved a good party, and this was one she wouldn't have
missed!
Bacchus, the god of wine and mirth, sets the tone for the
evening, which features a gourmet feast, accompanied by superb
wines selected to complement the South American cuisine.
This year's Rockus Bacchus was another outstanding event.
The event was held on February 17, 2007, at the Brier Creek
Country Club in Raleigh, NC, and featured sumptuous South
American cuisine. The evening also featured live music from the
band Carnivalito and exciting live and silent auctions.
We hope you can join us for our next evening of music,
dancing, and gourmet food.
How Your Participation Helps Cancer Patients
Your support of this innovative evening provides funds for
essential services for cancer patients and their families.
The Duke Cancer Patient Support Program, now in its
twentieth year, provides psychosocial services for adult cancer
patients and their family members. Individual and family
counseling, support groups, self-image programs, and
educational resources are provided to patients at no charge.
The program is dependent on philanthropy to provide these
valuable services.
