About Us

The Duke Asthma, Allergy, and Airway Center is a state-of-the-art clinic for patients with asthma and other lung and allergic problems. The center brings together specialists in lung disease and allergy to offer care for adults and children.

In addition to comprehensive medical care, it is our goal to educate patients so that they are empowered to control their disease.

As part of Duke’s mission to increase medical knowledge, the center was also planned as a hub of patient-centered asthma and airway research efforts.

The center is a joint project of the Departments of Medicine and Pediatrics, and it began operations in 2004 at the Center for Living Campus. Our permanent site opened in August 2005, near Durham Regional Hospital.
