Q. What led you into the practice of aesthetic anesthesiology (or the field in general)?
A. As an anesthesiologist, I enjoy this type of surgery because it provides instant gratification to a basically healthy patient population. These are procedures that patients are requesting rather than procedures that are performed for medical reasons.

Q. What are your areas of specialty and how have things changed since you entered the field?
A. My area of specialty is pain management. Anesthesiology and pain management have improved tremendously through the implementation of specialized monitoring and the advent of short acting, rapidly metabolized anesthetic agents.

Q. Are you involved with any clinical trials or research studies? If so what are you examining?
A. Currently evaluating self efficacy in chronic pain setting. We are evaluating how chronic pain patients view themselves
