Classes
In addition to courses designed to address health and
healing lifestyle concerns, Duke University Health System
offers a network of clinical and professional education
opportunities. More technical in nature, many of these classes
are open to the interested public with few or no prerequisites.
The classes are hosted by the Department of Education
Services and are usually held on the Duke campus.
These classes are augmented by the lectures, seminars and
symposiums hosted by the Duke University School of
Medicine. Though highly technical as well, these events
present a unique opportunity to glimpse the leading edge
research conducted at Duke.
The clinical and professional classes provide continuing
education opportunities for staff and access to Duke resources
for interested community members. They range from basic
introductory material touching on communication and leadership
skills to EKG
interpretation and shock types, causes and treatments.
There are four categories of classes. To see a complete list
