Duke University Health System (DUHS) is one of Carolina Parenting Inc.'s 2009 N.C. Family-Friendly 50 companies.

The Carolina Parent magazine recognizes companies who create a healthy work/life balance for their employees.

Carolina Parent will publish its 11th annual list in its September issue. While previous lists only had 40 companies, this year's list expanded to 50 companies as more companies are finding new and creative ways to motivate and retain workers.

The companies will be recognized at the Women@Work Breakfast, September 15, 2009, at the American Tobacco Bay 7 in Durham.
