Your “Patient Education Booklet For Weight Loss Surgery” contains full instructions for your use following surgery. Please hold on to it and refer to the relevant pages for the following:
Diet instructions:- List of problems that you need to call the WLS Office about (and those you do not)
- Answers to common questions
- Follow up appointments (three weeks, three months, six months, and 12 months, plus yearly thereafter)
Note: Upon discharge you must call the office to arrange these appointments. As a reminder, enter the dates on page 33.
The Weight Loss Surgery Clinic will follow you for the first year and thereafter as you wish. Eventually your family physician can monitor your care.
If you move or change your phone number, please call our office so we can update your records and contact your new physician.
