What Does This Measure?
The percentage of patients who answered “Definitely yes” to the following survey question: “Would you recommend this hospital to your friends and family?”
Patients could choose one of four possible responses:
- "Definitely yes”
- “Probably yes”
- “Probably no”
- “Definitely no”
What Are We Doing to Improve Our Performance?
Duke has enacted several initiatives to improve our performance. These include:
- Patient-centered service training for employees
- Patient education materials
- Patient rounding
- Patient communication boards
- HealthView patient portal
- Patient satisfaction surveys
- Patient advocacy and support groups
