QualityMeasures.jpg

At Duke, we are committed to delivering top-quality care -- and to providing you with reliable, easy-to-understand information about our performance and quality of care.

On these pages you can find regularly updated performance measures that show how well Duke is doing compared to other hospitals across the state and the nation in key areas, including:

  • How well our hospitals follow recommended treatment guidelines developed from evidence-based research
  • How satisfied patients are with their Duke experience

We hope this information will assist you in making informed decisions when you are choosing a hospital to entrust with your care.

Quality Measures

Duke University Health System participates in national and statewide quality measurement programs to help us improve the care we provide. These programs assess quality of care by measuring how well hospitals follow specific guidelines when treating patients with certain medical conditions.

In this section, you can compare our scores with national and state averages in four treatment areas. These areas were selected by the Federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid for hospital quality comparisons because there are well-established national guidelines for the best ways to treat patients with these conditions.

In this section, you can compare our patient satisfaction scores with national and state averages in a number of areas.
